My mother recently had a bitch fit the other day when she saw what my little sister was wearing, a low cut top with ripped tracksuit bottoms and an old wrinkly jumper. One of the many things she screamed at her was “And you’re the very one who criticizes what other people wear labeling them chavs and emos like they were dirt!” Yes she went a bit over the top (XD) but she had a point though, people today, mainly the young, are too quick to stereotype people the first time they set eyes on them. Whatever happened to “Never judge a book by its cover”?
I must admit I’m not innocent in this affair as I partake in what Jizz, Aids, Folie and I call Chav Studies. We sit around listening to what Chavs say and translate it into plain English! (It’s actually quite fun! XP) But we are also victims of labelling aswell. Recently Folie was called a little emo C U Next Tuesday! Although he wasn’t bothered by it, it was still uncalled for and in complete distaste.
But when it’s all said and done I do believe that this behavior from youth today mainly comes from their parents!! As they say “Monkey see, Monkey do!” Our parents want us to have a better life than them and want us to learn from their mistakes but they openly practice stereotyping in front of us and expect us to refrain from doing it ourselves!!
So from now on I am not subscribing to any labels I am a person, a human being and so is everyone else!! So I will also try to stop myself from judging anyone because who am I to judge anyone when my life is probably just as messed up as theirs!!
To conclude, here’s a little message for y’all…. “Don’t be a dick to others and they won’t be a dick to you!!”
Sex, Hugs and Rock N Roll!!
KittyKat!! XD
